Obiageli grew up in Nigeria. Previously, she worked as an equity trader on Wall Street before breaking her parents’ hearts by transitioning into screenwriting. In 2019, she received her MFA from USC’s School of Cinematic Arts. Since then, Obiageli’s scripts have garnered her a Humanitas New Voices Award, a BAFTA Newcomers Fellowship, an Elevate Collective Award, a ScreenCraft Fellowship, and a Paramount Writers Mentoring Program Fellowship. In 2020, Obiageli worked at Spotify writing narrative true crime podcasts. She was then hired as a Staff Writer on GUILTY PARTY at Paramount+, and then as an Executive Story Editor on MOTORHEADS at Amazon Prime. Currently, Obiageli is a Co-Producer on ALL AMERICAN at The CW.
